These terms are the agreement between you and floopy. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. We’ve kept them readable.

1. Who can use floopy
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use floopy. If you use it on behalf of an organization, you agree to these terms for that organization.
2. Your account
Keep your login details secure and don’t share your account. You’re responsible for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current.
3. Acceptable use
To keep floopy useful and safe, you agree not to:
- Post unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or misleading content.
- Upload photos that aren’t of the toilet/facility, or that show identifiable people without consent.
- File false or malicious reports, including fake safety reports.
- Scrape, bulk-download, resell, or otherwise access our data by automated means, or reverse-engineer the service.
- Interfere with, overload, or attempt to breach the security of floopy.
- Impersonate others or misuse another person’s information.
We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, reviews, and reports you submit. By posting them, you grant floopy a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, sublicensable and transferable license to host, display, adapt, and use that content to operate, improve, and promote the service. Contributions stay part of the map even if you later delete your account — your personal information is still deleted as described in the Privacy Policy, but the toilet data and photos you shared keep helping every flooper. You’re responsible for what you post and confirm you have the right to post it. We may moderate, edit, or remove content at our discretion, including automatically.
5. Photos & moderation
Uploaded photos are automatically scanned and may be rejected or held before appearing. Moderation is automated and imperfect; we may also review content manually. Don’t rely on moderation as a guarantee about any content.
6. Safety information — important
Safety flags, “felt unsafe” reports, and hidden-camera reports on floopy are community-submitted and not verified by us. They are informational only. A toilet without a flag is not a guarantee of safety, and a flagged one is not a legal accusation. floopy is not a security or emergency service and does not detect hidden cameras. Please stay aware of your surroundings at all times and use your own judgment. In an emergency, contact local authorities — in Japan, police 110.
6a. The toilets are not ours
floopy is a directory. We do not own, operate, manage, or control the toilets and facilities listed, and we are not responsible for their condition, for anything that happens at or around them, or for the conduct of any person there — including any misuse, abuse, harassment, or crime. Your use of any facility is at your own risk.
6b. Cooperation with authorities
We take unlawful conduct seriously. Where we become aware of a crime or illegal activity connected to floopy, we may report it and share relevant information with the police or other authorities, and/or with the staff or operator of the venue, as appropriate.
7. Toilet information accuracy
Toilet locations, hours, cleanliness, and features are user-generated and sourced partly from OpenStreetMap. They may be inaccurate, out of date, or incomplete. floopy is provided to help, not to guarantee that any toilet exists, is open, is clean, or is accessible.
8. Floops, rewards & raffles
- Floops are a virtual in-app score with no cash value. They can only be earned by contributing — never bought — and cannot be sold, transferred, or redeemed for money.
- Any raffles or rewards are run as open, no-purchase-necessary promotions. Entries are always earned with floops, never bought with cash. Specific rules apply to each promotion.
- We may adjust, expire, or reset floops and rewards, and may change or end these programs.
9. Service “as is”
floopy is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. We don’t promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, floopy and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service, reliance on toilet or safety information, or the conduct of other users. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify floopy against claims arising from your content or your misuse of the service.
12. Termination
You can stop using floopy and delete your account any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or to protect the service and its users.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. We’ll update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app. Continuing to use floopy means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, unless your local law requires otherwise.
